What is guggal?

Guggal (also spelled gugul or guggul) is a resin harvested from the Commiphora mukul tree, native to India. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine and Vedic ritual for millennia — burned to purify spaces, clear negative energy, and invite clarity and focus. Its scent is earthy and resinous with a slightly smoky depth, reminiscent of ancient temple incense.
